Cinema theaters in Osh are restoring after 20 years of omission

If Hollywood produces approximately 150 movies a year, for the citizens of Osh city in Kyrgyzstan a revive of old cinema theaters is a big happiness!

Cinemas in Osh city come to life after a long period of inactivity. Although the scale displays have not reached the level of the Soviet era, the citizens are hoping that going to the movies will again become a tradition.

What the f*ck? on the streets of Bishkek: part 2. How it was and what it is..

While writing the first post about the street art in Bishkek, I found that people who make such amazing works on the streets are not only talented and creative, but also very ambitious and single-hearted.

Denis Kapkanec, hero of my first post about street art, gave me interesting interview about the beginning of his way, the whole vision of this stream in Kyrgyzstan and his plans about art. Also he provided unique photos of his works which are almost lost because of dust, dirt and cleaning works.

What is street art in Bishkek, what are its characteristics, the development and the vision of it from the outside?

When celebrity "revives" in advertisement..

What can be more attractive and secure than making advertisement with successful and popular celebrities? Moreover when these celebrities are long dead?.....

Mars Chocolate UK makes a video with charming Audrey Hepburn who died 20 years ago. Beautiful actress advertises a chocolate "Galaxy" in old 50-s style. The sons of popular actress Sean Ferrer and Luca Dotti gave the permission to use Hepburn's representation in the video. They said that their mom would be happy to play in a video because chocolate was one of her biggest pleasures in life.

Soundtrack to the commercial was popular "Moon river" from "Breakfast at Tiffany"'s movie which is the most recognizable film with Hepburn.

Audrey Hepburn was used not only in this single advertisement, Japan advertisers consider the actress as their national star and like to use her representative in different advertisement campaigns.

Last years street art in Bishkek gets more and more popular. People express their worldview by drawing and posting provocative posters and images on the walls, buildings, undergrounds and other vertical objects.

"Che za huinya?" is a russian translation of "What the f*ck?"

Such strange and really provocative posters have started appearing on the main streets in Bishkek after the 7th April revolution in 2010.
