The mono performance "Why do the footprints not stay?"

Have you ever been on the mono performance? I haven't.. But last Saturday I went to the Russian Drama Theater and was really impressed by the mono performance based on the works of Chinghiz Aitmatov called "Why do the footprints not stay?" Really.... Why?..

Theater actress Galina Ketova expressed the feelings and thoughts of heroes of Aitmatov's works "Jamila", "The First Teacher" and "Mother Earth". She made me think that one person is able to perform in such professional and emotional way that you forget about everything and look only at her. She was truly amazing!

Unfortunately, photo and video shoot was prohibited during the performance, that's why I was not able to shoot all those beautiful decorations, Galina Ketova's face emotions and tears on the faces of the guests of performance.

They cried because the main message in the stories about Jamila, Tolgonai and Altynai was a motherland, woman, mother and love. Love to the nature, to the truth and to the native land.

Chinghiz Aitmatov, the Kyrgyz national writer, was writing in Russian and Kyrgyz languages. Almost every work he touched the topic of woman, mother, love and war. The Great Patriotic War had a strong and deep influence on the writer. In the stories "Jamila", The First Teacher" and "Mother Earth" on which the mono performance was made, the line between the destruction of war and the power of love is especially visible.

Organizers say that the funds from ticket sales will go to the support of the Russian Drama Theater and to the help of the artist Anatoliy Kolesnikov's family, who was creating the decorations to the performance. He and his brother died on April 9, 2013 by the explosion of artillery shell while preparing materials to the art installations.
